He is by Prince Charley (imported by tho Messrs. M‘lntush) ; dam, Kate, by Grey Champion ; grand dam by Duncan Gray.
Prince Charley, having proved himself the premier sire of Victoria, needs no comment. Kate was a first-class mare, bred m Tasmania, She took a second prize in Melbourne as a brooi mare, and five first prizes in Kilmore. Grey Champion and Duncan Gray were the sires of the Lest stock ever bred in Tasmania. Highlander is now six years old, He was shown at Kilmore, and got the second prize—a two-year-old ; and as a three-year-old got the third prize at the National Show, Melbourne. He took several other prizes through thcdisiriet when travelling.
He is a sure foal-getter, and liia stock is equal to any bred from any other horse in the colony of Victoria.
