Marchioness, an own sister to Tow ton and dam of Fishook, won the Oaks in 1855, and the Marquis, a son of v inizelli, by Stoekwell, won the Two Thousand Guineas in 1862 ; ran second for the Derby, for which he was first favorite ; and won the St. Ledger. Good grazing paddocks provided for mares, and every care taken, but no responsibility. One mare out of every five given in to bona-fide owners. Terms, Five Guineas, groomago included. DON QUIXOTE is a dark bay horse, sixteen hands high, and a sure foal-getter. Don was got by Gil Bias, out of Penelope, by the imported Desert Arab Ajah Baba; g. d, by the celebrated race-horse Grenadier. Don Quixote is too well known to need comment , the proprietor deeming it sufficient to state that he is in splendid health and first-class conclitition. Ugly Buck is a beautiful bay horse, stands fifteen hands three inches in height, with immense power and hone; got by the imported horse Frank, dam Creeping Mollv, by Colonel (imported), UGLY BUCK (vide Ruff’s Guide) has performed well in Victoria, having won Fourteen Races, viz. : As a twn-ycar old lie won the Hopeful Stakes at Hamilton, £IOO. As a thrcc-year-old, the Homiltnn Logon, f 128 ; at Portland, the Open Handicap, £loo’, the Portland Leger, £GO ; thoßraxholm Leger, £4O ; and at Apsley, the Ladies’ Purse, £54. As a four-year-old he did not run. As a five-year-old he won the All Aged Stakes at Hamilton, £SO. As a six-year-old, the Town Plate at Winchester, £4O ; the Avoca Town Plate, £3O, and a handicap of £2O ; Consolation Stakes at Ballan, Consolation Stakes at Bacchus Marsh, Town Plate at Kilmoro, and Ladies’ Purse at Lancofield.
