He is by Prince Charley (imported by the Messrs, M'Tntosh); dam, Kate, by Grey Champion ; grand dam by Duncan Gray. Prince Charley, having proved himself the premier sire of Victoria, needs no comment. Kate was a first-class mare, bred in Tasmania, She took a second prize in Melbourne as a brood mare, and live first prizes in Kilmorc. Groy Champion and Duncan Gray were the sires of the best stock ever bred ia Tasmania. Highlander is now six years old, He was shown at Kilmoro, and got the second prize—a two-year-old ; and ac-a threc-ycar-old got the third prize at, the National Show, Melbourne. He took several other prizes through the* district when travelling. He is a sure foal-gettor, and his stock is equal to any bred from any other home in the colory of Victoria. The feed is magnificent, aud there is an abundance of water. Highlander will only cover sixty mares, and not more than twenty will be taken from the Dunstan and Cromwell.
