To want of a second flour mill in tin Wiikatip district has long been felt io be a pressing necessity, and the Promoters, in ulacing the present company bet ore th ) public, hope to secure the co-operation of the farmers, graziers, settlers, store-keepers, miners, and other residents in this and surrounding districts, the object of the Promoters being to establish a mill purely f.r g.isting purposes, thereby giving customers equal advantages in bringing their produce into the market. A most elig ble site has been secured at ‘ite Pal's of Hayes Creek. The water power is ample and permanent, end r.o stoppage of the machinery can possibly occur at any season of the year for want of the necessary motive power, while the machinery wll lie sufficiently effective to meet any sud dta or unexpected demand. The largo alluvial flats surrounding the Arrow and on the east bank of the f3h-’to' er can be readily reached by level and good roads.
