The want of a second flour mill in the Wakatip district has long been > felt to be a pressing necessity, and the : Promoters, in placing the present company before the public, hope to secure the co-operation of the farmers, graziers, settlers, store-keepers, miners, and other residents in this and surrounding districts, the object of the Promoters being to establish a mill purely for gristing purposes, thereby giving customers equal advantages in bringing their produce into the market. A most eligible site has been secured at the Falls of Hayes Creek. The water power is ample and permanent, and no stoppage of the machinery can possibly occur at any season of the year for want of the necessary motive power, while the machinery will lie sufficiently effective to meet any sudden or unexpected demand. The Promoters of the Wakatip Flour Mill Company wish it to be thoroughly understood that the site of their establishment is in the very centre of the district; it is easily ac- ■ cessible from the Dunstan and Cromwell, almost abutting on the main trunk road to Queenstown, and there is no necessity for crossing (hat highly dangerous river the Shotover. The largo alluvial flats surrounding the Arrow and on the east bank of the Shotover can be readily reached by level and good roads, The Promoters have made arrangements with the leading business firms on-the various goldfields townships, so that growers can readily dispose of their produce, either in the shape of grain or flour, and obtain its full market value.
