Prince Charley, having proved himself the premier sire ,of Victoria, ; needs no comment. Kate was a first-class mare, bred in Tasmania, She took a second prize in Melbourne as a brood mare, and five first prizes in Kilmorfi. Grey Champion and Duncan Gray were the sires of the best stock ever bred in Tasmania, •• • Highlander is now six years old, ■ He was shown at Kilmdre,. and got f the second prize—a two-year-old ; and , as a throe-year-old got the third prize at the National Show, Melbourne.
