MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
The elections for the Mayoralty of Clyde, Cromwell, and Alexandra took place on Tuesday last. CLYDE For Clyde, Mr. James Hazlett was elected, beating] Mr. W. L. Bailey by fifteen Votes. CROMWELL. For Cromwell, Mr. W. H. Whetter was elected, polling eleven votes more than his opponent, Mr. G. W. Gondger. ALEXANDRA. Fur Alexandra, Mr. Robert Finlay was re-elected. He polling twenty votes in excess of his opponent, Mr. William Theyers. Mr. Theyers explained that he had not come forward on his own account, but at the express wish of a few of the townspeople.
