DEFALCATIONS OF THE I ATE TOWN CLERK.

(To The Editor of The Dun\staxTimf.d.) They have shown by their acts, that they are not above conviction ; also that they have a lively interest in the welfare of the town, even though they dip their hands into their own pockets to promote it. But, while meting justice to those who have " paid up," 1 must say a few words, perhaps not quite so flahteriu l ;, of others who have not continued their quote. I will not ment'on names, but I allude principally to one whom 1 (bought would have been ihe first to "sbe'lout," afcer having so stiono'y supported the remarks which had for tbe'r object the pa' .uent, of the debt justly due ly the Counci'lois to the tow a.
