JUNE. Kitchev Gahdex.—Every vacant part df the garden should now be dugup without further delay, and the surface left 'ii a rough, open state, to the action of the weather, and nothing will so effectually pulverize the ground if exposed to its influence. With the exception of Peas, Broad Beans, and Raddish, it is not advisab'e to sow seeds this mouth. Plant out Cabbage, Cauliflower, Rhubarb, Sea Kale, and hardy herbs, such as Sage, Thyme, •Horse lladdish, Hyssop, Mint, Marjoram, Fennel, Ac Whilst the ground is in a dry state, hoe and stir frequently between the rows of Cnbba ges. FiidT Gahdex.-—Proceed with the pruning of Gooseberry and Currant Bushes; also Apple, Pear, Plum, and Cherry trees; and dig between the rows of trees and bushes, leaving the surface in a rough, open state, as recommended in the directions for the Kitchen Garden. In digging amongst trees or bushes, care should be taken not by any means to injure the surface roots, as the productiveness of fruit trees is greatly increased by the preservation and encouragement of the small fibrous roots near the surface of the ground. Any tra splanting contemplated should be pushed forward with all possible expedition. Plant cuttings of Currant, Gooseberry, i!kc Flower Garden*.—See that the directions for last month have been car. vied out ia this department while the ground continues open and dry, as every vavietv of flowers and shrubs will succeed better from the ground being early dug up and well pulverised during the winter months. Plant and trim edgings to walks, and apply gravel where necessary, as the pleasure of a garden at all seasons depends very much on the state of the paths leading through it. See that all tender plants are effectually protected from frost.
