THE HOSPITAL BALL AT THE KAWARAU GORGE.

(To the "Editor of the Dunstan Times.) Sir, —Referring to a letter which appeared in your issue of the 31st ultimo, anent the "Gorge Ball." I beg to say that I had nothing whatever to do wi(h the distribution of the ticket?, except that the use of my house was given for the purpose, together with the s+aHonery requisite for the purpose, the tickets allotte'tome being enclosed in an envelope, and left at my house, as also those a 'dressed to the persons for whom they were intended, and which I posted, paying the postage out of my own pocket. I collected all tie tickets I could, at a considerable expense ani no little annoyance to myself. I received from the sale of tickets the Jinn of -'l2 15b., and £1 Ee. frrm Mr. Lcucbnsn, who ptid it by mistake, and afterwards reelected that it might be in-

Robertson reeei-ed the sum of £l4 15s. for tickets, and her charge for the sooner was £lO 6s. 6d., leaving a balan-e of £4 Bs. 6d., out of which the expenses of p-intintr have to be paid.
