CLYDE SCHOOL.
A public meeting of householders was held on Monday evening, the 13th inst., at the School Houso Clyde. The Mayor, Mr. Donald M'Pherson, in the chair. The Chairman road the advertisement in the 'Government Advertisement Sheet of the Ist of January, convening the meeting. Mr. Christophers, Honorary Clerk to the retiring Committee read their annual Report and Abstract of Accounts, dated 13th January ISOB. Proposed by Mr. Barlow, seconded by Mr 'Grindley,—That the report be received, nnd that a vote of thanks lie awarded to the retiring Committee for their services du ing the past year Carried. Pronosecl by Mr. Grindley, seconded by Mr. Haz'et.t, —That this meeting now | roceed to elect a Committe* of Seven for the <v>snin~ year, and in the event rf more ♦ban that number eing proposed, the election to be decide' by "ballot."
