Distance one mile an'd a half. ' Mr. Huddlestone's Waverley (Tanner) 1 M'llroy's Empress (Smith) ...... 2 Waverley took the lead from the first, and came in an easy winner. On Saturday there were a variety of athletic sports and pastimes, including some hack racing, which • wound up the season's festivities. The attendance on all three occasions was not so large as anticipated. In fact, Drybread proved no exception to the rule that race meetings do not suit the popular appetite at Christmas time.
