HACK SELLING RACE Of 15 Sovs. No weight under lOst. Once round the course. Heats. The winner to be sold for £ls, the surplus (if any) to go to the Race Fund. Post entry, £l. SECOND DAY. THURSDAY, JAN. 2. MATAKANUI HANDICAP Of 50 Sovs. Open to all horses, to be handicaped by the Stewards on the first night of the meeting. Nomination, £2 10s.; acceptance, £2 10. Distance two miles. HURDLE RACbj Of 15 Sovs., once round the course, heats, over four flights of hurdles. For all horses who have never won an advertised hurdle race or steeplechase. No weight under Bst Entrance, £1 10s. PUBLICANS' PURSE Of 20 Sovs. Open to all horses who hj ve never won an advert sed race. Once round the course, heats. Weights for age. Entrance, £\ 10s. LADIES' PURSE Of 15 Sovs. Welter weights for age. Gentlemen riders. Twice jound the course. Entrance, £1 10s. CONSOLATION HANDICAP Of 15 Sovs., for all beaten horses. Once round the course. Post entry, £l. 1. The rules of the Dunstan Jockey Club will be adhered to in all cases. 2. Jockey costume will be insisted upon, except in post entry races, when the cap will be sufficient. 3. Persons entering horses to give the names and colors of the aiders. 4. No person to enter a horse unless a subscriber of £2 10s. to the race fund, except for post entry races. 5. Five per cent to be deducted from all winnings. 6. Decisionr of the Stewards "in all cases to be final. 7. All entries to be sent to the Secretary on Tuesday, the 31st December, up -to 10 o'clock p.m., at the Matakanui Hotel, enclosing entrance money exoept'for the Makatuni Handicap, which will be received the first night of the meeting, anfl acceptances immediately the weights are decided 8.
