Entrance £1 Is. RULES & REGULATIONS. 'l. No entry will bo received except upon these conditions:—That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by the Stewards, or a majority of them, whoso decisions upon all points connected with the carrying out of the psogramme shall be final. 2. No person to enter or nominate a horse unless ho be a subsctiber of not less than £2 2s. to the Race Fund. Moreover no person to enter or nominate a horse not his bona-fido property,"unless the said subfcription of £2 2s. be paid for the actual owner; also under penalty of forfeiting any race such horse may win. 3. The District to mean a distance of not over forty miles in a straight course from 'Cromwell. 4. Three horses to enter in each race or 'no public money will be given. 5. All entries to be sealed, and addressed to the Stewards, Kawarau Hotel, Cromwell, at or before 8 o'clock p.m. on the 21st day Dscembcr, 1567. Entrance money to be enclosed, with name, age, and pedigree (if known) of the hoise, name of the owner, and the colors of the rider. 6. The rules of the Otago Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to. Mares and geldings allowed 31b. All dogs found on the course will be destroyed. Five per cent will be deducted from all winners for expanses.
