Stk, —Permit me, through your valuable columns, to ask the reason why members of the Clyde 0 nncil, representing their several wards, \ni!l not spare one hour from their usual avocations, and attend the usual summonsed mee nips ; the lrst Illeeti g lapsed for want of a quorum. All adjourned meeting was announced by our worthy Mayor, and wi*h the same result : want of a quorum. I would say Mr. Editor, that memb r< of the Council ought to have the interest nf the wards they represent more n* heart than theyjjseem'to have of late, and when in the immediate neighbourhood of the Town upon the evening of the meetings come forward boldly, ami give their v-ite as men of sc isc upon every important question that may be under discussion. 1 am.
