CLYDE SCHOOL

A Committee Mooting was hold at the School-house en Friday, the 28th u!t. Present, Messrs. Hazlett, George, M'Coi:nochio, Hast ie, jM'Phersonj Christophers, and Shaw. The chair was occupied by Pr. Chariot Shaw. The minutes of the last monthly and of two special meetinge were read and confirmed. Proposed by Mr. M'Phcrson, seconded by Mr. Hazlett, TH.it a vote of {hanks In; recorded to Mr. Fraser, M.P 0 , for his successful exertions in obtaining a subsidy for school buildings from the Government Carried. Proposed by Mr. Hazlett, seconded by Mr. M'Connoehie, That the School master be allowed to furnish the Scholars with books as heretofore, provided the scholars are permitted to purchase books from whomsoever they please. Carried. Accounts to the amount of i'2l 12s. 7d. were passed for payment. Proposed by Mr Hazlett, seconded by Mr. M'Connoehie, That Pr Shaw, Mr. M'Phersou, aiid the mover be elected a Visiting Committee for three months, with power to authorise any slight necessary improvements and repaiis to the school house and master's residence, and to report at each monthly meeting of the Committee, Carried Proposed by Mr. M'Connoehie, seconded by Mr. George, That Messrs. M'Phcrso , Hazlett, and Christophers be authorized to emivas for subscriptions ami donations in aid of the School Funds. Carried A vote of thanks to the chairmanA*r. initiated the proceedings.
