DUNSTAN HOSPITAL.

The usual mon'hly meeting of the Committee was he'd in the Council Chamber 01 Saturday afternoon, the 4ih inst. Present: Messrs. Robinson (President), Fcraud (Vice - President), Christophers (Treasurer), Carter (Secretary), Rysur, Auckland. Stratford, llazlctt, Marshal!, Faylor, Jack, and Mastic. Proposed by Mr. Hazlett, seconded by ■Mr Jack, That the Secretary write to the Provincial Secretary, reminding him that a large' amount is due to the Institution as subsidy against subscriptions collected, and requesting that the Committee may lie'iiifonued, at an early period, what sum has been placed upon the estimates tor the Hospital for the ensuing year. Carried. Proposed by Mr. Stratford, That all moneys received by the Treasurer and Secretary be passed through the ha<.ds of the-Collector. Seconded by Mr. Hazlett, and carried. The following gentlemen were elected a Visiting 'Committee for the ensuing quarter: —Messrs. Ryan, Auckland, and Jack. Proposed by Mr. Jack* and seconded by Mr. Christophers, That the Visiting Com mittee l>c requested to carry out the recom'mmdalion in the report of the previous Visiting Committee, but not to expend more than t'3o in furnishing apartments for the Resident Surgeon. Carried. Proposed by Mr. Christophers, That the Visiting Committee be authorised to engage a nurse for the Female Ward when required. Seconded by Mr. Hazlett, "and carried. Mr. R. C. Moore's tender for supplying two .ty-four mattrasses for the sum of £22 "was accepted. A vote of thanks to the chairman con- ' eluded the proceedings.
