TO TUB Electors of the Goldflelds' IN TilK DtJ.WTAM DISTRICT. vJ so many influential inhabitants in the Dunstan District has induced me to plac e my services at your disposal, and .should I have the honor to be returned as your representative in the Provincial Council, I shall endeavour to retain that confidence you so kindly placed in me. It will always be my desire to further the progress of the Goldfields, and see that a fair distribution of the public funds be spent in opening up the country and de~ veloping its mineral resources. It is absolutely necessary that the Goldfields should have representatives whose interests are identical with those of the miners, so that their wants may be made known and understood. I can claim to 1 e one of those interested, and I shall use my utmost endeavors to check the abominable taxation which is year by year being heaped upon the mining community directly and indirectly. Believe me, Gentlemen, if I am returned [ shall never rest until I see the duty on gold removed or considerably reduced, for [ consider it a most unjust tax on industry —imposed upon a people who undergo the greatest hardships to open up a portion of the country, which otherwise would be barren and unprofitable. The agricultural interest I should like to see advance more rapidly on the Goldfiel 's, and the only way to attain that ol - iect is to give easy access to the lands. I am so far liberal on the Land Question hat, had I the giving away of the country I would give it to the "bona fide" small settlera. Previous to the nomination I shall personally explain my views on other matters connected with the Gold-fields, and the advancement of the country generally. I am, Gentlemen, Yours trulv. W. FULLEP. To the gentlemen signing the requisitior,
