ATOTICE is hereby given, that in pursu *■ ' • ance of the provisions of the " Otago Municipal Corporations' Ghmhance, 18G5," Thursday the Eighteenth Day of October instant, at Twelve o'clock at noon, at the Temporary Council Chambers, Victoria Hotel, Clyde, is appointed for the domination of Candidates, for Election to the Oilice of a Councillor of the Incorporated Town of Clyde, to supply an extraor. dinary vacancy, occasioned by the resignation of Mr C. L. Morice, as a Councillor And, further, that the Mayor of the said Municipality will attend on, and at the day, time, and place hereinbefore named, and will then cause to he publicly opened and read, all such nominations as shall be in due form, and shall have been lodged with the Town-Clerk cf the said Municipality, at his office, before, noon of the said Eighteenth Day of October, instant. And notice is hereby further given, that in the event of there being more than one Candidate nominated to supply the said vacancy, a Roll will take place on Monday the TWENTY-' ECoSD Day of October, instant, to commence at Nine o'clock in the forenoon, and vail finally close at Four o'clock in the afternoon of the same day, at the Shamrock Stole, Sunderland Street, Clyde.
