DUNSTAN HOSPITAL.
The usual monthly meeting of the Dunatan. Hospital Committee was held at the Hospital on We dues lay <-v wing lust. Thoro were present Messra Huzlott, Cambridge, Hume (Treasurer), Barlow Marshall, Giindley, Goodwin, Cope (Secretary), NUaif„rd, Morie-v ?.n* -Tank. Mr James Ilaziett occupied the Chair. The minutes of the laßt meeting wore read aud confirmed. The Treasurer, Mr Hume, reported that he had calied upon the Auditors wih the Balance Sheet, but they required some explanation respecting the bank balanca when lie, Mr Hume, took office. The Finance Committee's report showed liabilities incurred during the month as £204 15s. The report was received. The Visiting t'ommitiee and House Surgeon's reports were read and received. The Treasurer's report showed liabilities U end of August £7B 19.s 7d. Assets subsidy from Government £6lB 2s 6d. The report was received. Tenders for supplies were accepted as fol ■ lows: Bread, ls6d per 41b loaf, Joseph Hastie; meat, W. Grindley, B|d per lb , with or without bone ; milk, J trues Oanew, 8d pdr quart; lignite. Jam-s Holt, 34s 61, rei ton; groceries, 0. Zjiie aud Co., tea, 2s 6d pe lb ; sugar, brown, 6jd per lb ; sugar, white. 7d per lb ; bu.ter 2s 4£l per lb ; rife 5d per lb ; flour, 50sperbig; starch, 4dperlb; Is 4d per lb; salt, 2Ju per lb ; pepper, Is per lb ; oatmeal, 5d per lb; mustard, Is Id per lb ; soap, 6d per lb ; arrowroot, ; 0 - »">? lb; soda, 4d per lb; kerosene, 6s 6d per g.tl; wines and spirits, port and sherry wine, 14s per !»a! ; ru-n 16s per gd ; brandy, 22s per gal ; c.se braody, 60s pv case ; whisky, \&i per gal; ale and porter, 18s per doz Mr Goodwin gave notice of motion that at the meeting of Committee he would move—That the salary of the House Surgeon be reduced, and that he be allowed private pramice Mr Marshall gave notice of motion, thm at the next meeting of Committee he woul: move—Thar, all correspondence, from the Ist Jan\, 1566. between the Committee and the Government be laid upon the table. A vote of thanks was recorded in favour of Mr A. Hume, for hi? services a Honorary Treasurer. A similar vote wis recorded in favour of Sir J. D. Feraud, for hh gift of fruit-trees and plants. The usual compliment to 'the Chair co eluded the proceedings
