DOGS. —The following is pub'ished for general information : 7. Every Dog without a collar, having engraved thereon the registered number of such dog, and all dogs found molesting sheep within any euclosure, or upon any Sheep Run, may be destroyed.—" Dog Nuisance Ordinance, 1862." V. It shall be lawful for the owner, or the agent of the owner of any sheep or cattle, or any servant or person employed by such owner or agent, to destroy any dog or dogs running at large amongst such sheep or cattle. VI. It shall be lawful for any person who shall see a dog or dogs, being at large, biting or "attacking any person,*" or any horso,' sheep, or cattle, or who shall himself be attacked by such dog or dog?, to destroy the same, without being answerable for damage occasioned thereby, unless such dog or dogs, at the time, be in the immediate following of the owner of such dog or dogs, or in his house, or in the enclosed premises immediately adjacent thereto.—'• by [Dogs Act, 18 5."
