DUNSTAN HOSPITAL.
The usual monthly meeting of the Dunstan Hospital Committe was held on Monday evening last, at the Clyde Hotel. There were present Messrs. Stratford, Hume (Treasurer), Cambridge, Barlow, Booth, Edwards, Marshall, Grindley, Cope {Secretary), Goodwin, Morice, Hazlett. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The Visiting Committee's, House Surgeon's, Finance Committee's, and Treasurer's reports were read and accepted. Tenders for supplies for the ensuing quarter were accepted as follows :—Groceries and wines and spirits, Hazlett and Tweed; bread, Hastie ; meat, Grindley ; milk, Redhead. Proposed by Mr. Hume, seconded by Mr. Barlow, and carried, That, when a patient dies, his name be advertised in the local paper. Proposed by Mr. Edwards, That a subcommittee, consisting of Messrs. Stratford, Barlow, Cope, and the mover, apply to the (Government for a grant of an area of land at the present site of the hospital. Seconded by Mr. Barlow, and carried. A vote of thanks to the chairman con eluded the proceedings.
