k (We do not identify ourselvesVifh the opinion tjm K t expressed by our correspondents.) TO THE EDITOR OF THE DUNSTAN TIMES. Sir.— Taking into consideration the great magnitude of the mining interest in Otago, with the absurd regulations affecting the same, it must be self-evident to the community at large the time has arrived when practical mind’s ought to make their own laws, under the mining board system, instead of their being made, as at present, by an irresponsible amateur, whose knowledge of mining is evidently “all my eye.” I need'; only refer to Mr. Pyke’s last vagaries anent the waterTjrace regulations as a case in point. It is to be hoped'that the miners on the different goldfields will take the Bull by the Horns at once, when they will receive the hearty"co-operation [of the Nevis. I am, Sir, Your obedient servant, Tristram Shandy. Nevis, June S,*ISCG.
