DUNSTAN HOSPITAL.

The usual monthly meeting of the Dimstan Hospital Committee was held at the Clyde Hotel, on Monday evening last. There were present Messrs. Robinson (President), Hume (Treasurer), Cope (Secretary), Cambridge, Marshall, Morice. Stratford, Grindley, Goodwin, Hazlett, Booth, M'Connochie, and Barlow. The President occupied the chair. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The Secretary reported that local committees had been elected at Alaxandra and Cromwell. The Visiting and Finance Committees' reports were read and received. The Treasurer reported the liabilities of the institution as £357 13s. 3d. i due from the Government on subscriptions to the 31st of March last, £sll IPs. Proposed by Mr. Ovmdb>v. That the

President and Treasurer wait upon the agent for the Bank of New South Wales, and arrange for an overdraft of £SOO. Seconded by Mr. Marshall, and carried.

Mr. Goodall's tender for five loads of firewood at £i per load, for cash, was accepted. The resignation of Mr. D. Jones, as collector for the Hospital, was received and accepted. Dr. Shaw's application for five days' leave of absence was granted. Proposed by Mr. Stratford, That the Secretary collect funds for the General Committee, and that he be allowed a commission of ten per cent. Seconded by Mr. Hazlett, and carried. Proposed by Mr. Hazlett, That the Secretary be allowed .£lO for expenses in. in establishing local committees. Seconded by Mr. Barlow, and carried. It was arronged that as soon as the six local committees shall have been formed, and the Secretary report favorably, a general meeting of subscribers be called, to alter the book of rules, so that each district possessing a local committee shall return two members to the Genoral Committee.

A vote of thanks to the Chairman concluded the proceedings.
