MUNICIPALITY OF CLYDE.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE " DUX STAN TIMES." Sir, — May I claim a place in your valuable journal for the insertion of these few lines. lam surprised to hear some of our townsmen municipalitists challenge the reverse party with regard to the petition got up by them having been sent to the Superintendent, and no notice taken of it. Allow me to inform these gentlemen that it way never sent although there were twenty-three legitimate names attached to it, which—taken from sixtyeight, which is all the township can boast including female householders leaves forty-five. Had that petition gone down, there is no question aliout the municipality being refused, and we only accept it as a necessary evil. I am,-'(fcc.. WILLIAM ATKINS. Dunstan, April 16, 1866.
