Two miles. Entrance 3/. 3s. Town Plate Of 75 Sovereigns. "Weight for age. Three miles. Entrance 7/. 7s. Hurdle Race, . Of 30 Sovereigns. Weight for age. Over ten flights of hurdles. One mile and a half heats. Entrance 3/. 3s. Hack Race, . Of 15 Sovereigns. Catch weight. One mile and a half heats. Post entry, 1/. Is. The winner to be sold for 20 sovereigns and any surplus to go to the funds. SECOND DAY, 16th FEBRUARY. Miners' and Packers' Purse, Of 15Sovereigns. Post entry, 1/. Is. Horses must be the bona-fide property of miners or packers in the Dunstan district one month previous to the race. No weight under lOst. 41b. One and a half mile heats. District Plate Handicap, Of 75 Sovereigns. Two miles and a half. The winner of the Town Plate to carry 71b. penalty. Entrance, 11. 7s. Handicap Steeplechase, Of 75 Sovereigns. About four miles of country as the Stewards may appoint. Entrance 11. 7s. Ladies' Purse, Of 20 Sovereigns. Welter weights. Gentlemen riders. Two miles. Entrance 3/. 3s. Consolation Handicap, Of 20 Sovereigns, for all beaten horses during the meeting. Post entry, 1/. Is. One mile and a half. RULES AND REGULATIONS. i No entries will be received except on these conditions: —That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by the Stewards, or by a i majority of them, whose decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the above programme shall be final. Three" horses to start or the public money will not be given. No person to enter or nominate a horse unless he be a subscriber of not less than 3/. 3s. to the race fund. Moreover no person to enter or nominate a horse not his bonafide property unless the said subscription of 3/. 3s. be paid for the actual owner also, under penalty of forfeiture of any race such horse may win. The Dunstan district to include an area of fifty miles. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Stewards, at the Dunstan Hotel, Clyde, on or before the 14th of February, at 8 p.m. Entrance-money to be enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree (if known), name of owner, and colors of rider. Otago Jockey Club rules will be strictly adhered to. All dogs found on the course will be destroyed. Five, per cent, will be deducted from all winners for expenses.
