DUNSTAN HOSPITAL.
The newly elected committee held their first meeting on Monday morning last, at the Clyde Hotel. There were present Messrs M'Connochie, Jack, Robinson, (President) Hazlett, Grindley, Cambridge, Goodwin. Barlow, Marshall. Stephenson, (Treasurer) Cope, (Secretary), Mr Jas. Hazlett occupied the chair. Proposed by Mr Grindley. " That Messrs Cambridge, Barlow, and Marshall be a Finance Committee, and that they continue in office for six months. Seconded by Mr Goodwin and carried. Messrs Grindley. Stratford and Cope were elected a Visiting Committee for the next three months ensuing.
Proposed by Mr Cambridge, <: That this Committee hold their monthly meetings at 8 o'clock in the evenings of the second Monday in each month." Seconded by Mr Grindley and carried.
Mr Barlow gave notice that at the next meeting of the Committee, he would move for the appointment of a sub-committee to revise and alter the rules of the insti-
tution. Mr Cope gave notice that he would move at the same meeting for the appointment of local committees at the principal centres of population. L i aposed by Mr Barlow, " That a vote r ihsaks bo :.iven to Mr J. E. Staite for
his services as Treasurer to the Hospital during the past year. Seconded by Mr Jack and carried. An account for £5, for firewood purchased on behalf of the Hospital by Mr Grindley was ordered to de paid. The wardsman's (M'Arten) leave of absence was further extended for one month.
Mr Staite's gift of fourteen vols, of Wesley's works and sermons for the use of the patients was received with thanks. A vote of thanks to the chairman concluded the proceedings.
