The Union Steamship Company s s.s. Wairarnpa, Captain W. H. Chatfield, brought up in the bay from Melbourne via Southern ports and Wellington at 11 a.m. yestcrdav. The follo-\vinir is a report of her passage :—She left Williamstown at o.SO p.m. on the 17th instant, cleared Port Phillip Heads at 0.10 p.m., arriving at ITobart at 7a.m. on the 19th ; sailed again at 3 p.m. and reached the Bluff at 7 p.m. on the 22nd, reached Port Chalmers at 8 a.m. on the 23rd; sailed again at 7 p.m. on the 24th, arriving at Lytteltou at noon on the 2oth ; sailed at G p!m. on the 2Gth, arriving at "Wellington at S a.m. on the 27th ; and sailed again at (i p.m. Experienced fresh Lead winds up the coast The Boojum attended immediately for passengers and mails and the lighters for cargo. The outward passengers were taken off in two batches, the launch leaving at 4 and 7 p.m., tho Wnirarapa steaming on her course at 5.15 The Union Company steamer Waihora, Captain MeTntosh, from the North arrived here early yesterday mornin-r, and was tendered at G a.m. for mails, passengers and cargo by the launch Boojum. She transhipped her outward passengers for Southern ports and Melbourne at 10 a.m., and steamed out of the bay a few minutes after 11 o'clock. The steamer Wairoa, Captain Anderson, returned to port from Wairoa on Saturday afternoon, bringing five bales of wool and a number of passengers. She will bo leaving for the same destination to-morrow night. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company's ship Waitangi, 1128 tons, Capt. Thomas Leeman, arrived here on Saturday afternoon, and has taken up her position at the anchorage. She comes here in ballast from Port Chalmers, and is to succeed the ship Wairoa on tho berth for London, that vessel having now within a tew hundred bales of her complement of cargo. The Messrs Shaw, Savill nnd Albion Company's ship Pleiades, Captain Setten, i.s now full, and will clear at tho Customs for London to-morrow
The stoamer Kiwi, Captain Campbell, is exper-.tcd to leave Wf-llincrton to-nisrlit, and will lie flue here on "Wednesday or Thursday morning. , The s.s. Sir Donald, Captain J. Quinlan, ■was to have steamed for Waikare at midday to-day.
