PARIS.
December 12. An official telegram from Madagascar has been published, and states that the French forces have captured a fort containing five guns, at South Vohemas, and that in an engagement Avhich took place two hundred Hovas Avere killed.
The. Senate have agreed to an additional forty-three million francs for French operations iv Tonquin. In the debate Avhich took place on the motion for the credit, M. Ferry promised that immediate action should be taken by the Government to carry on tho war with China.
