DEPARTURES

November 27_Wairoa, s.s., for Wairoa. Passengers —Captain Preece and several. others.

The s.s. Sir Donald returned from Tongoio yesterday afternoon, bringing thirty- j four bales of wool. \ The Union Company's steamer Southern Cross, Captain Hutcheson, leaves Gisborne this evening, and is due here to-morrow morning. She will discharge inside, and at 2 p.m. is announced to steam from the wharf for Wellington. The three-masted schooner Mary Wadley, Captain Moore, anchored in the roadstead from Newcastle New South Wales at 12.30 p.m. to-day. Her passage has, we understand,- occupied about fifteen days. She will he- towed inside by the Boojnm at slack •water'this afternoon, and will take up- her berth at the breastwork where she will discharge her cargo of coal which is for her owner Mr J. H. Vautier. The steamer Wairoa, 11. Anderson, master, took her departure for Wairoa at 4.30 a.m. this day taking a good complement of cargo and passengers. Tho steamer Kiwi, which has beon expected by her agents to arrive for the last two days, turns out to have only reached Wellington from the coast this morning, and will, in consequence, not arrive here until Monday next. . The Union Company's steamer Wairarapa, Captain Chatficld, was to have left Auckland at noon to-day. She is due here at dayjiirht on Saturday morning, and at I p.m. isTi'dvertiscd to steam on her course for southern ports and Melbourne.
