Nelson, This day

_ A correspondent writes to the Colonist that he can positively say' that a threemasted schooner named the Osprey arrived afc Auckland in July, 1848, with a' detachment of soldiers from Hoburt Town. The troops were composed of the oSth. and Goth. Regiments, aud wore under command of Lieutenant Barglcgate, of the? 65th. The writer was on board the vessel himself.
