Telegrams from Dongola state that the mounted.infantry corps has left that town and is now proceeding southward.
The native spies who were sent to ascertain the. strength. and position of El Mahdi's army have arrived at Dongola with the intelligence that Khartoum is surrounded 'by the rebel troops, who number fully 15,000 men. ....,,
