The expedition to Bechuannland, under Colonel Warren, will he largely augmented, and will comprise eight thousand troops. (Received November 20, 2.10 p.m.) In the House of Commons to-day Mr. Gladstone announced that the Draft Enabling Bill for Australasian Federation requires important amendments and that _it was advisable to consult the. colonies there anent ; before presenting the measure to Parliament, and added
that the bill would create a small Federal Council to deal with the questions of common colonial interest, but that the question of the reconstitution of the colonies would not be dealt with by the measure. In the House of Commons to-day, Mr Gladstone gave notice he would on Monday next introduce a bill for the redistribution of seats.
