The total reserve in the Bank of England innotes and bullion is £9,500,000. being £600,000 less than the reserve last Thursday. The proportion of the reserve to the liabilities has fallen during the week from 36 per cent, to 34 per cent. The bank rate of discount has been raised to 5 per cent., and the market rntc has advanced to 4 \ per cent. The markets for colonial produce are without quotable change.
