PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE'S REPORT.

The Public Works Committee of the Napier Munciipal Council met last evening, and agreed to the following recommendations: —

1. That the report of the waterworks engineer re alterations to the supply pipe at the new reservoir bo adopted.

2. That the recommendation report of the overseer be adopted. '

3. That the report of the inspector of nuisances' re removal of Taghtspil at the Spit be adopted.

That the suggestion make in Messrs Wilson and Cotterill's 'letter re Stamfordstreet be adopted, viy J( tbo Corporation to convey, if the Government approve, the whole of the strop',; to Mr Robjohus, conditionally that ho convoys 70 links of part of section 331 as a public road, and pays tho Corporation the sum of £150,

5. That the resignation of Mr Ebbett as poundkeeper be accepted, and that applications be invited for the post. G. That Mr Hodgson be appoiu ted receiver of rates. ; .
