The Tramway Company have written to the City Council, asking that the duration of their term o£ concession should be extended, so that they may be justified in adopting- a new mode of traction. The present mode is by horse, and does not pay. The present term is for fourteen years, hrftf of which has already expired. Tho Council have referred tho matter to tho Tramways Committee.
