PORT OF NAPI E R ARRIVALS. . October 29- Wairoa, s.s., from Wairoa. Passengers—Judge Brookficld, Miss Allen, Mrs Brown, Messrs Fisher, Chas. Monteith, W. Gray, Johnston, Beckett, Walker, and ten natives,. 30—Amateur, ketch, from Timaru. The steamer Wairoa, Capt. n. Anderson, returned from Wairo-i at 4.15 p.m. last evening, bringing several passengers. She left the Wairoa wharf at 9.45 a.m., but worked for a couple of hours at the mouth of the river, landing- cargo before finally steaming for Napier. The ketch Amateur, Captain Chas. Neilson of 20 tons register arrived here this mom-' ing, and was soon afterwards berthed inside at° the breastwork. She is from Timaru with a cargo of 370 sacks of oats for Mr Jno. Orr, aiid has made the trip in six days. The Union steamer Rotomahana, Captain Care'y was to have left Auckland at noon to-day being due here at daylight on Saturday morning. The> Union Company's s.s. Southern Cross, Capt. Hutchison, leaves Gisborne at 5 p.m. this afternoon, and is ■ due in the bay the. first thing to-morrow morning. She wilL be tendered for cargo and passengers, the latter outwards leaving the wharf at 9 a.m. Tho Cross will steam for the Dunedin wharf via Wellington on their, transhipment. . .. ; The'steamer Kiwi, Capt. Jas. Campbell, is telegraphed as going to leave Wellington at G o'clock last night, and should bo due here to-morrow morning.
