No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims,, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall bo final. All protests must.be accompanied with a deposit of 5 soys, which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. General entry night, 31st October, 1884, at 8 p.m., at the Petane Hotel. The rules and weights of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of the stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. No person allowed to enter a horso unless he is a subscriber of at least ono guinea to the club. Handicap, and ho Railway Handicap, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be left with the Secretary at Kaikora not later than S p.m. on tlio 29th of November. Weights will appear on the Oth'of December. Acceptances for the Handicap Hurdle Race, "W.C.R.O. Handicap, and the Railway Handicap, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, and colors of riders, must be left with the Secretary not later than 8 p m. on the 17th of December.
