[Reuters Telegrams.] (Received October 22, 10 p.m.) LONDON. October 21. It is announced that the Right Hon. J. G. Dodson has been raised to the Peerage. The Right Hon. G. 0. Trevelyau, Chief Secretary for Ireland, will succeed Mr Dodson as Chancellor of the Duchy -of Lancaster, with a seat in the Cabinet. Mr H. Campbell Banncrman, Secretary to Admiralty, has been appointed to succucd Mr Trevclyan as Chief Secretary for Ireland. The Homeward mails via Suezr and Brindisi, dated Melbourne, September 9, were delivered here to-day.
