No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall bo final. All protests must bo accompanied with a deposit of 5 soys, which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. General entry night, 31st October, ISS4, at 8 p.m., at the Petane Hotel. The rules and weights of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of tho stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. "Hack" shall mean ahorse that has never started in a weight for age or handicap race. DATES OF NOMINATIONS, ACCEPTANCES, &c. All protests to be accompanied with a deposit of five guineas, to be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. Three horses to start in each race, or only half the money will be given. "Hack" shall mean a horse that has never started in a weight-for-age or handicap race. Nominations for the Maiden Plate (with ago of horses and colors of riders), Handicap Hurdle Race, W.C.R.C. Handicap, and the Railway Handicap, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be left with the Secretary at Kaikora not later than 8 p.m. on the 29th of November. "Weights will appear on the Gth of December. Acceptances for the Handicap Hurdle Race, W.C.R.C. Handicap, and the Railway Handicap, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, and colors of riders, must be left with the Secretary not later than S p in. on the 17th of December. Five per cent, deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. All races run under thoH.B. Jockey Club rules and weights, which will bo strictly adhered to.
