A self-colored dapple brown without white, standing sixteen hands three and half inches high, and having enormous bone and muscle. Terms— £6 Gs each mare. He is sire of some of the finest weightcarrying hacks and stylish carriage horses ever seen in New South Wales, as is proved by his stock realising such high prices. Three were sold to Mr W. Cooper, of Sydney, for 100 guineas each. Ho was bred by Mr Lediard, and followed the Berkshire Hounds for several seasons. Sir Benjamin, late the property of E. S. Rouse, GontiiAA-ang, N.S.W., which gentleman purchased him for 710 guineas on his arrival from England. He was formerly the property of G. B. Battams, Esq., Kilworthy, Tavistock, England, purchased by that gentleman expressly for a country station, forgetting Aveight-carryinghunters and stylish carriage horses, at which he proved very successful. Big Ben won, as a two-year-old, tho NeAvmarket TAVo-year-old Plate, The Mostyn at Chester, The Biennial of Western Stakes at Bath, beating Fairwater in the last. At three years old he won two races, only starting tAvice. Sir Benjamin is winner of the first prize at Torrington Agricultural Show, held 4th May, 1871, beating a very large field. Ho also took second prize at the Sydney International Show last year. As Avill be seen by the following table ho possesses as fine a pedigree as is to be found in the English Stud Book. Young Barber is a dark chesnut of great bone and substance, and fine temper, stands 15 hands 3 inches high, is lately from Otago, but his stock may be seen at Moteo and Taradale. Mr Anderson has sold most of his young stock at from £17 to £50, and several pairs at high figures. His sire, Bay Camden, was to Australia, and beat tho celebrated mare BeeSAving and many others; was never beat as a racehorse of his day; took three gold cups and medals in Christchurch, and when taken to Otago took first prizes in Dunedin, Balclutha, and Tokomairiro. Young Barber is out of a mare got by Barber, a horse well known in Nelson and Christchurch. Barber's grandsire belonged to Auchinleck, and was bought by the King of Prussia for stiJd purposes.
