Webb's Royal Marionettes give their third performance in the Theatre Royal tonight, and a matinee performance at 2 p.ir. to-morrow. Tho Napier Liberal Association meet this evening - at their rooms. The members of St. John's Branch, H.A.C.8.5., meet in the branch-room at 1 p.m. to-morrow, iv mourning regalia, to attend the funeral of the late Father Forest. Entries for produce, implements, dogs, &c, for exhibition at the A. and P. Society's show next week, close to-morrow. Tenders for the erection of about five chains of close paling - fencing Avill be received by Mr T. R. Cooper not later than to-morrow. The fourth quarter of Mrs Withers' school commences to-morrow. The steamer Thomas Russell leaves for Gisborne and Auckland on Friday next. The opening day of the Napier Rowing Club will be celebrated in tho inner harbor on Saturday afternoon. Entries for scratch fours close on Friday evening at the Criterion Hotel. The fourth quarter of Mr Raikes' drawing classes commences on Monday next. Mrs. Caro, dentist, visits Waipawa on the 11th, 12th, and loth October. Accounts owing to Mr. W. Ebbctt not paid by the 15th proximo will be sued for. Major Routlcdgc issues tho Volunteer district orders for the month of October. Mr R. Brooking has taken Mr J. M. St. Clair into partnership, and the firm for the future will be styled Brooking - anel St. Clair. Messrs Sainsbury and Logan have money to lend on freehold security at current rates. Everybody is rcepiested to invest in Jacob Faithful's consultation, which closes on Thursday. If the person who took a top coat and parcel from the Hastings railway station on Saturday oveiiiujr will leavo same at Mr Caution's Hotel lie will be rewarded. Messrs Neal and Close want 100 tons of potatoes. Messrs Blytho and Co. quote prices for new straw hats. At the City Hairdrc-ssing Saloon you will find a splendid assortment of pipes, tobaccos, cigars, playing cards, cigarette holders, hair brushes, combs, in fact every toilet requisite, and the latest novelties of every description.
