MR GOLDER IN REPLY.

[To the Editor op the Daily Telegraph.] g I n j —i n reference to an extract from the "Wairarapa Daily, with my name in question, apparently not intended for any honorable purpose, that appeared in your local news column in your issue of the 27th, I trust you will publish the following:—l have neither the time, nor interest to reason or contend with bubbles, and therefore will briefly state that the editor of the Wairarapa Daily appears to have fallen heir to some old, worn-out, and well-spent bubble, and lias bursted it before he had time (o examine it, and has rushed with some fiagrnent of it into print for everyone to see it, as though that fragment extracted from a number of pages—manuscript and printed matter—was the nature of all in general, and that everyone could be instructed by it. Furthermore, he makes use of my business name and occupation, with other additions of his own imagination, that no honorable man in his position would take such liberties to substitute in place of the origiual, but would have kept as a sacred trust. In future I will treat him for what he is worth, and no other trust shall I offer him than the secret of his future life to contend against. But, as for me, I have no time nor interest to neglect other business to contend with him, and therefore now bid him adieu. —I ara, tfcc, C. Golder. Waipawa, September 2Sth, li>B4.
