Thursday. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. BILLS COMMITTED. The River Board Bill, the Married Women's Property Bill, and the Impounding Bill were passed through committee. AUCTIONEERS AND BROKERS BILL. Mr Reynolds moved the second reading of the Auctioneers and Brokers Bill, which proposed the repeal of lo enactments in operation in various parts of the colony and consolidated the law on the subject. ~.,,, •! Mr Stevens moved that the bill be road that day six months. The amendment was carried, and the bill was thrown out.
