Tho bank reserve is Tho proportion of reserve to liabilities is 45 per cent. Tho bank rate rate of discount remains at 2, and the market rate at 1-i per cent. Colonial breadsturfs. — Adelaide wheat, ex-store, 38/- ; Now Zealand, 31/- to 38/- ; Adelaide Hour, ex-store, 27/-. Australian tallow, average quality beet and mutton, 35/ G. •\Vool.—At to-day's auction 10,400 bales were catalogued. A firm tone again prevailed. Good qualities of wools have wdvanced by a half-penny. The quantity tity of wool withdrawn from sale since tho opening of tho series is 10,250 bales out of a total of 161,200 catalogued. Hides.—At to-day's auction a fair demand was experienced. (Received August 30, 0.50 a.m.) Adelaide, Friday. Wheat, per bushel, 3/-; Hour, town brands £8 17/0, and country ditto £7 17/6, with market dull. Freights to London, steamers 30/-, ditto sailing 25/-; freight market weak. Sydney, Friday. Now Zealand wheat, per bushel, 3/3 ; New Zealand oats, 2/5 ; maize, 4/7 ; sugar, Company's No 1 pieces, per ton, £31.
