Plumley, from Wellington and the coast, arrived here about B'o'clock last night, and discharged her carnro at the cattle wharf this morning. She left Wellington on Monday night, _ and has been at work on the coast ever since. She is to steam again for Wellington this

evening. The Union Company's s.s. Tarawera is telegraphed as having left Auckland at 1 o'clock yesterday for Southern ports and Melbourne, and is duo bore by daylight in the morning. The launch with hor outward mails and passengers is announced to leave the wharf at 2 p.m. The p.s. Manaia, Captain Baxter, got away for Wairoa at 2 o'clock this morning, taking thirty passengers and a quantity of cargo. The s.s. Southern Cross, Captain Hutchison, which left this port at 7.30 yesterday, reached Gisborne at 7 a.m. this day . route for Auckland.

The Union Company's s.s. Wairarapa is to leave Wellington this evening, and is expected to arrive here at about mid-day tomorrow, being advertised to steam on her course for Gisborne and Auckland at 5 p.m.
