The supply of the locally-grown tobacco leaf is far short of the requirements of the local manufacturing establishment, and supplies havo to be got from elseAvhere. Yesterday the Auckland Tobacco Company got o,ooolbs of cured leaf by way of Sydney from America, and the same company have a large supply of American and Havana cured leaf on board the Aorangi now on her way to NeAV Zealand.
