At a meeting of tho Australian Mutual x "" - Provident Society to-day, the quinquennial report previously announced was unanimously ' adopted, and Avas receiA'ed Avith general approbation. All the smallpox patients are progressing f favorably. The caso at Maitland has been traced to tho Orient Hotel in George-street, Avhere three cases of the disease Avere discovered on tho 25th inst'. The latest betting 1 on the Metropolitan Stakes is 6 to 1 on Hastings.
