After some formal business had been transacted Major Atkinson said that he was not yet in a position to state definitely tho names of the gentlemen he proposed to / form a new Government with. He mi"-ht however, say that negotiations were in progress, and he expected they Avould be completed so as to enable them to be submitted to the GoA'emor and Ministers to take their seats on the following evening. Mr Stout moA r ed that the House adjourn till 7.30 the following night Avhich was agreed to. The House rose at 7.35 p.m.
