Consols remain at 100-f, and New Zealand securities as follows :— Five percent. 10-40 loan, 105|; five percent. 1870-1004 loan, 105_-; four and a half per cent 1879-1904 loan, 99. 1 .-; four per cent, inscribed stock, 102. " . Adelaide wheat, ex-store, is unchanged at US/-, and New Zealand ditto at 34/- to 38/- ; Adelaide flour, ex-warehouse, 27/-. Australian tallow, average quality, beef 35/6, ditto mutton 35/ G. The wool market continues firm, and 15,800 bales were catalogued at to-day's auction. (Received August 27, 0.55 a.m.) Melbourne, Tuesday. The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand reports of the local markets as follows:—Wheat, market dull and drooping ; malting barley firmer at 3/9 to 4/G ; New Zealand oats, feeding sorts are in fair demand at 2/11 to 3/3, and milling ditto arc firm at 3/2 to 3/4 ; New Zealand oats, under bond, steady but not in active demand at 2/2 to 2/7. The market for New Zealand timber is unchanged.
